The South West Slopes Community Events
- The South West Slopes Agricultural Society hosts an annual agricultural show every November in the town of Harden. This event features livestock exhibitions, show jumping, wood chopping, and a variety of rural exhibits and demonstrations.
- The Young Cherry Festival takes place in early December each year, celebrating the region's cherry season. The festival includes cherry picking, market stalls, food and wine experiences, live music, and a parade of floats.
